How is performance/bugs?
All I see are people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about dumb culture ware ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. How is the actual game? Is the performance ok? The usual Bethesda bugs present?

You need DLSS quality to hit 60 fps at 1080p apparently so yea
Works fine on my 4090. My friend was able to play on ultra with a 4070
So it's fine. But the graphics aren't exactly... worth the performance cost, you're better off playing modded oblivion tbh. The raytracing implementation is mid as hell, and you won't notice any of it, we were making fun of them just using point lights, because that's what it feels like.

4090, 40gigs of ram, i7-10700f here. Was running fine at max settings for the sewer, got outside and fps dropped to 25. Stayed rough even after toning down lumen and switching DLSS to balanced.

Barely puts a dent in the 4090, but maxes out the CPU, 100%.

Also all of the options for frame generation are greyed out/unavailable for me. Waiting on the first patch to fix some of this jank before I try again.

Sounds CPU heavy then. Hmm... I'm looking at the reviews though and it sounds like most people are ok? Are you guys running at 4k or something?

Playing with ps4 controller on a 3060, 32 g ram, i9-12900k, on a 4k 50 inch, dlss balanced, nvida reflex + boost, medium graphics, getting 30-40 fps

Curious if anyone using an XBOX controller or any other controller is having an issue.

runs great, stable 60 fps capped in open world, cities and interior cells.
ryzen 7 5800x, 6700xt high settings, no upscaling or frame gen @1440p

Do you get any hitching (frame drops) when traversing the world? I've got the exact same set up as you.

this is all you need to know, reflects what thousands of players have been experiencing

Variable.

Works great for some people, like me, with no performance issues, and my only crashes are 3-4 times during alchemy over like 7-8 hours of gameplay.

People with AMD graphics tend to have a harder time but that's also not consistent, some NVIDIA folks also have issues.

Most old bugs gone, and I've encountered some I've never seen before that are pretty funny: A body got stuck on a ceiling for me once, and a guy was sleeping on his bed sideways floating.

I have a 4090 and have everything maxed out using Lumen raytracing (disabled SSR as it sucked) + DLAA at 3440 x 1440. FPS can drop to 40s or 30s at times in complex outdoor areas but I boost that with Lossless Scaling to get a solid 120 FPS. The latency is almost imperceptible, so this works great for me. I am also using a heavily modded engine.ini from Nexus Mods which makes considerable performance and quality improvements. I will actually dial back some settings soon when some videos appear that explain differences between settings, so not all settings will be ultra eventually. It's perfectly fine for me at the moment as indoor rendering is super fast and that's where I spend most of my time. If I dial things down to high (probably the best setting), I have great FPS, but I am not using high settings at present as I am on a screenshot frenzy and pixel peeking at how miraculous this remaster is. Ultra looks unbelievably good and still faithful to the original "DNA".

The game still stutters when you change cells during a fast form of travel, such as a horse.

Should also note that I am using Nvidia driver 566.03, as the later drivers cause massive issues, such a black screens and other weird problems. 566.03 is perfect at the moment, but I have decided to move down to HDMI instead of Displayport, as Nvidia has destroyed Displayport (or Windows did). Just doesn't work on my 4090.
