Edited: (SOLVED) No cloud saves?
I was playing on my desktop but decided to move over to my laptop. When I exited the game it states cloud syncing but when I start the game on my laptop it doesn't download the save file. Both my desktop and laptop have cloud saving enabled (in Steam settings and in the games property settings).

Edit and temp fix until Bethesda actually addresses this:

Found the issue. The cloud saving is working but it's using OneDrive.

The game looks for saves in;

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames

But the cloud save goes into;

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames

You will need to MANUALLY copy and paste from the OneDrive folder into the games save folder.

I hope this helps.

Same issue for me... My save is gone.

Dang. I hope they patch this soon. I played on my Steam Deck, then went to play on my PC and no save. I really don't feel like manually syncing the files every time, what a PITA.
Is there anyway to fix it without manually doing it? Why are only some people having issues with this?
I have the same problem. tried starting over two times now. have to remake my character every time. I have no files in my onedrive. I dont use onedrive. Could my saves be ending up anywhere else?

Experiencing the same issue, was hoping to swap between my Steam deck and PC but this is causing troubles.
same issue. Went to play on my pc but no saves.
Same issue. I do not have OneDrive installed on my devices. Moving the saves manually between devices doesn't work for myself, the game doesn't read the moved saves.
Another thread about this Bethesda said "cant replicate the issue, do you even have steam cloud enabled"
Wow that's a bad issue.
I am curious whether it is an issue for those who uninstalled one drive initially.
My steamdeck isn't synching at all. Played around two hrs and wanted to switch to pc but now I'm worried one may replace the other sometime.

Not solved for me.
I am also having issues with starting on PC and moving to Deck...this was super helpful post though, OP, thanks...I'll be keeping an eye out for updates
That’s not what solved means lol
I found the issue for me to be that it was Windows Ransomware protection. Either disable that setting, or add the game as an approved app and it worked for me. :praisesun:

One drive ruins everything yet again.
