Possible reasons for Aelwin (Go fish quest) randomly dying? XD

I was looking for the damn fish when he randomly died and made it impossible to finish the quest, reloaded a save now and i will give it another go in a bit.

Does anyone here know reasons for his demise other than bethesda jank? :D

This happened to me too, I found out it was because a conjurer was pursuing me and just killing anybody lol. I loaded an earlier save and stood next to Aelwin until the conjurer showed up and then killed the conjurer.

found that one in the lake was already dead but think there is also bug in that quest kind find the fish its show where but no fish am now busy on that quest

I finished it but wasn't really worth the hassle though xD
