No Black hair color

The black hair color is not working in the character creator.

I noticed this, too.

I haven't tried on other races, but Dunmer should definitely have a black hair option.

I think it's a bug - was making my Dunmer and noted the eyebrows went from black to the dark hazel or whatever when I actually selected the black swatch from the pick-list.

Worst case - I confirmed "~" did the thing and "TGM" worked, so we can probably just "showracemenu" after the patch drops or whatever if needed.

No, I selected the black color that is at the top right of the color selection.

I face exactly the same problem, it will probably get fixed soon.

Just click the black color in the character creator. It'll look brown AF, but in game it looks black.

I did. I made multiple characters picking the black hair color. It still looks brown in game.
