Statistieken weergeven:
Disk Full - Save Failed
I was getting this error when trying to quicksave / autosave / manual save, and fired up Process Monitor to catch it in the act. Turns out this directory didn't exist

C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved

Create this directory

UPDATE
OK so while just creating the directory got rid of the error message, IT DIDN'T ACTUALLY CREATE ANY SAVE FILES.

I found another post where it was mentioned to check this
Windows Security > Protection history

Here I see multiple entries for
"Protected folder access blocked"

Clicking these entries shows that multiple executables are being blocked from accessing
%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames

The executables include
steam.exe
OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe

I needed to click the "Actions" drop down and select "Allow on Device"

NOW there's actually files being written here.

What's odd is it doesn't seem to actually save anything here? But it checks that the directory exists

think this has fixed it. Was able to see and load into my save after quiting and re loading, SO hopefully all good.

can confirm this fix works. same issue i had with starfield, some bethesda error.
Would this work with Gamepass's version?

Edit: I'm not sure what step fixed it but it SEEMS like Gamepass doesn't run the game as admin and thus cannot save.

That was at least my last step and it worked. Typical expected ♥♥♥♥, still made me chuckle.

I don't see why not, basically the applications need access to write to this path, and for whatever reason by default Windows 11 Virus & threat protection blocks access to this path unless the executable is allowed

1. Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Ransomware protection

2. If "Controlled folder access" is enabled, then you need to click the link for "Allow an app through Controlled folder access"

3. Click yes at the UAC prompt that pops up

4. Then click "Add an allowed app" and add the following:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe"

I also needed to add
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe"

Curious if this works for Gamepass version
Actually can't believe I've lost like 3 hours of playtime off the bat.. This is a sign to finish deadlines lol.
