Edit - Just fyi remember to update gpu drivers, it'll improve it. I always forget and for example Space Marine 2 ran like dogwater till I updated.
To me that's the crazy part. Between UE 5's lack of performance and Bethesda's *ahem* optimization of said notorious engine, it was destined to need DLSS. What's even more annoying to me is throw Nvidia's lack of generational uplift in the form of sheer raster performance, and you get this. The problem is that it's now being taught in schools (UE5) and a lot of new games plan to use it (non-comprehensive list):
Eternal Strands (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – January 28
Avowed (PC, Xbox Series X|S) – February 18
Killing Floor 3 (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S – March 2025
ArcheAge Chronicles (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
Cronos: The New Dawn (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
Dungeon Stalkers (PC) – 2025
Hell Is Us (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
The Sinking City 2 (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
Splitgate 2 (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
The Outer Worlds 2 (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) – 2025
Proposed/Expected:
ARK II (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S)
Derelicts (PC)
EVE Vanguard (PC)
Halloween: The Game (TBA)
Perfect Dark (PC, Xbox Series X|S)
The Blood of Dawnwalker (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S)
The Witcher IV (TBA)
The Witcher Remake (TBA)
The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S)
Unrecord (PC)
Lords of the Fallen 2 (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S)
Industria 2 (PC)
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra (TBA)
Gears of War: E-Day (PC, Xbox Series X|S)
"oh but we made the (FPS) number bigger, so its better"
10 years ago, the real PCMR was flexing about DOWNscalers. Today we have joined with the console plebs to flex about UPscalers. Lmao what a clownworld. Feels like everything is also astroturfed to the max:
>Influencers hired by companies to promote their products infiltrate forums and spread positive things about new tech to get gamers excited.
>The new tech comes out and is nothing like what was promised.
>Gamers complain because naturally why not
>No refunds, it's already here
>Repeat cycle with next new tech
Gaming should have stayed niche.

Med settings / trying DLSS and FSR 3 + Frame Gen
Terrible performance. I start the game and for the first 5 mins have great performance outside (90-100fps), and then it will just tank down to like 10-20 fps. It's ridiculous. I've tried a ton of different settings, nothing seems to make a difference. Really disappointed - hopefully an Nvidia driver release or a performance patch is on the way.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor
64GB DDR
This is allowing me to run the game on ultra settings, with DLSS set to "balanced". I run at 2650x1080 on a 144hz monitor. My FPS outdoors is around 100 and my FPS indoors is 120+. I am more than satisfied with the image quality, overall it looks fantastic.
People like to endlessly exaggerate that DLSS is this evil thing, but it looks stunning to me.
