i had games taking ages to compile aswell and found that it was because the shader folder was too big and causing complications with altering older shaders.
or try increasing the folder size. either or.
as soon as i deleted the folder, the shader compile in the affected games finished in a minute.
I have a 7800x3D and a 4070 and it’s taken me over 10 minutes to get 35%.
I have a 9800X3D, other games don't just stop using CPU mid compiling ...
also, since I finished by now, apparently at 50% or so the game is just done compiling.
lol 8 minutes is fast apparently - I’m on a 5900x and it’s been ten minutes. I’m still at 27%. I expect launch bugs and definitely expect them from Bethesda. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this ridiculous.
