It didn’t make any noticeable difference on my 7800XT. But hopefully it works for others.

The game does not recognize when a new driver has been installed and therefore does not regenerate the shader cache. I had the same problem. The tip to delete Save_Settings.sav and then regenerate the shaders helped me. Now the game runs smoothly again with 25.5.1.

Just installing the new driver nukes your AMD shader cache, and it will regenerate in the menu. CPU will load to 100%, and you have to wait until its finished.

Okay, I'll have to take a closer look at that and pay attention to it the next time I update the driver. But how is the player supposed to know that the shaders are now generated invisibly in the background menu, whereas they were visible before? I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
