Dont hold your breath if you are expecting any kind of performance updates anytime soon
Alright, folks, let’s talk about why Oblivion Remastered is screaming for a patch to fix its performance and crashing mess. This isn’t just a few unlucky players running into hiccups—tons of us, across PC and consoles, are getting slammed with constant stuttering, frame rate drops, and outright crashes that make the game feel like it’s fighting to stay alive. The open world chugs with traversal hitches, and the longer you play, the worse it gets, likely due to a memory leak that’s tanking performance and causing save file crashes. Even high-end rigs like a 4090 at 1440p can barely hold a steady frame rate, and Steam Deck users are stuck tweaking settings to barely hit 30 FPS. It’s not just “bad PCs” or user error—Digital Foundry’s deep dive shows every platform is struggling, pointing to a rushed release with serious optimization issues in the Unreal Engine 5 overhaul. We’re all hyped to explore Cyrodiil again, but these widespread problems are killing the vibe, and Virtuos needs to drop a patch ASAP to stabilize this gem. :BL3Shrug:

Track records thusfar show that Bethesda are well know for taking several weeks to release patches. IIRC is was 6 weeks before Starfield had its first proper patch after launch.

It would seem that a 4 week schedule is SoP for them atm.

Im not, as proved with my 2 screenshots on my profile, the game runs at 170 fps outdoor and 220+ indoor with ultra settings on a 3440x1440 screen, 99% o players are not expecting any performance patch, 3 million copies sold on steam only, less than 1000 people complain about performance, it's les (much much less) than 0.5% of players that have issues.

Also, DIgital Foundry is a complete unreliable source.
