does anyone use Dispel?

I've been reading UESP trying to get a handle on how to use Dispel, but it seems tricky to know when to use it. Does anyone actually use Dispel regularly? If so, can you share any tips? Thanks.

I use it on myself when I want to get rid of Chameleon.

Same as MacLeOd plus I'll use it for removing summoned creatures if I don't want to wait for the spell to wear off. I've also used in the same way for Night vision when I'm done with it.

You could use it to remove buffs enemy spellcasters or monsters use.

It's useful for getting rid of any Bound Armour / Weapons.
It's also worth keeping a Dispel potion on hand in case you have a nasty debuff effect on you.
Theoretically it could be used to remove a positive buff from enemy spellcasters (Mythic Dawn Acolytes in particular) but just punching them in the face is faster and easier.
