scaling highwaymen/bandits
Some jank I'm glad they left in.
Like the Radiant AI and Physics bugs jank are funny and have some sort of charm to them.

But crashing on fast traveling, could do without that.

But what about bandits/highwayman scaling equipment to your level? Is it amusing/charming to have a highwayman in thousands and thousands of gold of glass armor hitting you up for 100g, or should they not scale and be in leather/fur the entire game which I think would be more realistic?

I can't tell.

Natural selection, The weak one die off and Better bandit take there place.
No this is why we mod and imo oblivion's level scale is horrific and why it'll never be better than the other elder scrolls games oh yeah there's also item levels as well but there's a mod for it too.

I'm not really minding it that bad I mean it's kind of jank but at the same time it's a good way to make money provided you're not playing expert or master.. which is.. something of its own that needs to be modded to at least have more settings rather than the spike from adept to expert being 3x, if there were settings for 1.5x, 2x, etc scaling up it'd be better...

That is it's a great way to make money if you don't get overencumbered by the ridiculous weight everything has. I'm sorry but no you're not swinging a 52 pound sword Bethesda. If a sword was 5.2 pounds it'd wear you out to swing, 52? no that's just not happening.

bringing this up because I just finished Boethiah's quest and had to lug around like 3x my encumbrance (which is maxed out at 100 str at 500) out of that quest, dump everything down to what I could bear with a feather potion, sell off fast travel back to get my horse up there, get everything back, mount up, fast travel and lug over to a shop to sell off. Made enough gold to buy the Skingrad Mansion, but .. yeesh. It really doesn't take much to overencumber even with sources of feather.

Very true, I did the same feather potions and I think there is a spell called ease burden
