Sad Crashes are Ruining My Great Playthrough

I've really enjoyed all the time I put into this remaster and have gotten all of the achievements except for the last 2 in the main quest. While making it through the Shivering Isles I started to have crashes. Through most of the game there were a few crashes, every once in a while, but on my way out of the dlc it was crashing nearly every five minutes. After trying the various recommendations on here (shaders, setting) the crashes are now every couple of minutes! I only have to finish the main quest and I'll be done and yet it's virtually unplayable now. It's sad because I really love Oblivion and I think the remake is great. But now it's basically broken for the time being. Knowing Bethesda I might have to forget about finishing the game for at least a while... usually that means I'll forget about it and eventually uninstall
