Whichever horse you last rode when you quick traveled somewhere, that's the horse you'll always have show up when you quick travel. Recommend you buy a Black Horse, since they're fast... ride it while quick traveling. That way you'll always have that one by default until you ride a different horse and quick travel.

OG Oblivion I remember loosing shadmere and then it popped back up in a stable like 20 hours later...I'm hoping the same happens in the remaster as Shadowmere is gone lol

On my first character I got the Prior Maborel horse but he died like an hour later when we got attacked by wolves. 😭

Luckily mine died. I wasnt using it anyway. But I fast traveled and he got bonked by a daedra. That was neat. :)

I wish you had the option of just stabling him somewhere so he stayed safe. I would visit him sometime and say hi. :P
