Don't fall for it...
If you're relatively young and still trying to make up your mind about "gender issues in video games," here's some friendly advice from a Gen-X gamer: don't let the idiots draw you into their sad cult.

Never understood why some people apparently NEED everyone else to believe exactly as they do. Video games like Oblivion (and other top Bethesda titles) are basically playgrounds. The best playgrounds let the players fill in the blanks instead of telling them what to think.

Clearly the goal with this REMASTER was to create a game that is inclusive of all viewpoints. I know some think "inclusive" is a bad word these days (most have been instructed to think this way by those who leverage ignorance for their own benefit), but nobody can provide a good reason why it's anything but a positive.

Taking "provocative" and offensive positions is all the rage on the right these days, being unapologetic about their rigid ignorance is like a badge of honor with some people.

A better way to live is to simply appreciate there are all kinds of ways to view this world we all live in, and that's a good thing. Choice, variety, it's the spice of life. Otherwise life would start to get awful dull by age 30.

THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO LIVE YOUR LIFE, more than one way to view almost everything. You don't need others to think exactly as you do for your own experience to be valid and true (to you).

This REMASTER isn't trying to tell you what to think. Quite the opposite. It's trying to let all players think how they want to think. This is a good thing.

So let the professional agitators whine and cry. I promise you they're doing so for one of only three possible reasons: 1) they're angry because they can't control others how they want to control others (i.e. the girls won't get with them), or 2) they're profiting off stirring up lame conflicts, or 3) they were told what to think from group 2 and are simply too ignorant and/or inexperienced to think for themselves.

I'm impressed with this REMASTER. There are some minor missed opportunities with the interface, and it does need quite a bit of power to play at anything above the lowest settings, but for a longtime fan like me who remembers fondly the original release (and staying up all night to play it), this is a welcome addition to my permanent game library.

To add to that, Skyrim didn't have a "Male/Female" selection. Just a "Sex"slider and it was fine. No one said a thing. But NOW it's a big deal because people realized that they can monetize outrage and the more petty an issue is, the better.
Weird way to contradict in the 2nd to last paragraph by insisting people who don't think like the OP must be stupid or up to no good.

Why can't people discuss this without contradicting themselves on either side of this line they both drew?
I did not fall and stop reading OP trying to push their POV.

This REMASTER isn't trying to tell you what to think.
Yes it does - my father has male body type and not type 1 as this game tries to show me

"Type 1" is not an official designation of either sex OR gender, it's a placeholder for "use whatever language you want." Why does that bother you? Is it because it reminds you that not everyone will choose what you choose? Is that threatening to you?

Stupid is one possibility, which certainly describes some who think there's only one way to view the world around them. Up to no good is also another possibility, and in fact it's pretty common with people who deal in fabricating outrage. You forgot the third possibility though, which is simply those who want to control the thoughts of others.

What you're failing to see is that quite a few people have traditional views on gender, but have no problem with games being inclusive to those who don't think like they do. If you have such traditional views, but simply cannot accept that others think differently, then you are going to fit into one of those three categories I've outlined.

So which is it? Please enlighten us why your views (and yours only) should be reflected in the language of the game, but none of those three categories describe you? Looking forward to your smart answer.
