i can run re4remake at 120fps max settings but oblivion at 15 fps medium/low outside...
clearly something isn't right in the optimization department. it does NOT look better than other games to justify this terrible of a performance.

Lower your settings.
Unreal 5 is not well optimized for large open world games so either get a refund or upgrade your PC.

List your system specs if you want a honest opinion of how it should run on your PC instead of picking some random game as a reference.

My guess is you have 16gb of memory and a video card with 8gb or less or vram and likely a not great CPU. That does not cut it.

Might be some issues with drivers as there was a 7900 GRE with 16Gb vram that was spending more than that.

And then there are several drivers from Nvidia that had problems also that would introduce other issues.

But your post is 15 FPS then you get a simple answer.

it doesnt but it should. and that's the point of the post.
the problem is in fact my 8gb of vram, im not limited by cpu and neither ram, which only reaches 9 to 10gb.
i did manage to find a solution by disabling the forced on lumen. but if devs did their job i could easily run this game at medium high and 90fps.

Here is the post, it is confusing but he got the 15 FPS solved:

RE 4 Remake is RE Engine, not Unreal 5. RE Engine made for corridor level design, this is why you see this engine fall a part with Monster Hunter Wilds.

i actually already solved the issue by installing "ultimate engine fix" which also disables the forced raytracing. i get 60fps now, slightly more cause it's capped, but everything is on minimum and looks pretty ass.

i made the post not because i needed technical support, but to bring light to how terribly optimized this game is, so hopefully the community will push bethesda to release a proper optimization update.

there's some open areas in re4 and it still runs at stable 120fps.
i know they're different engines, but it's not like anybody forced bethesda to use ue5. they deserve the criticism. also let's keep in mind that this engine is only handling the graphics and literally nothing else. ue5 is bad, i've also played other badly optimized ue5 games, but none ran this crap. so something's very wrong, clearly.
