Somehow got Skull of Corruption at level 2
Not sure if it was a bug or an oversight.

I found the shrine of Vaermina on my way from Chaydinhal to Anvil and talked to the priest who said I needed a Black Soul Gem to talk to the Daedra. The quest note popped up and said "You need to be level 5 to start", but it was now on my quest lists.
I figured I'd come back later and I then kept going on my marry way. Saw a fort over the next hill and discovered Arkved tower and noticed a trap door that was unlocked. Took me right to the end of the dungeon into this sleeping guys room. In the room was an "Orb of Vaermina". I was like...it can't be that simple...
Picked it up and the quest actually updated. Walked back to the shrine and interacted with it. While it still told me I wasn't worthy to talk to her, she still spoke to me and gave me the staff...So I guess I accidentally speedran that quest in like 2 minutes without meaning to...
I'm wondering if the trapdoor was supposed to be locked until you go through the dungeon and it just was missed in the remaster.

Maybe oversight, but then again back in the day people who liked exploration and had a keen eye were often rewarded by devs. If I were in your shoes I'd chalk it up as a nod to your resourcefulness and trot on with my merry path.
