Insane Destruction leveling speed
Went in less then two hours real time and maybe four Fighters Guild quests from 50 to 100. Every two to three enemies it was a skill up. Felt like cheating and it was in no way that fast in the original.

I /think/ every magic school levels at the same rate now, so it's a lot easier to level skills that are spammable in comparison to the og. I distinctly remember Restoration being a nightmare to level in the original version.

depending on race choices, class setup and overall class focus.

I.E if you are altmer with magic focus and magic skills as major skills then yes it will be insanely fast.
Yeah, the xp for magic is now tied to magicka used so if you're using a high costing spell you'll level extremely fast. Even moreso on higher difficulty as well.

Found that using cheaper debuff spells along with a staff helped out in that regard.

Doesn't take long to level any skills really. Went from 5 to 100 in heavy armor in a couple of hours going and holding down the cast button with a cure spell while letting a mouse smack at me. It's fine that the game doesn't waste my time excessively. I like that. Did have to come back every 25 points to tick the upgrade message, but no big deal. Actually leveling athletics takes the longest... I've sprinted all over the map and it's still in the low 60's I believe.

Honestly it feels like most skills level way too fast.
And the fact a number of them will just level passively like athletics means you will level really fast, even more so then the original.

I am hoping that after fixes to various things someone makes a mod to make it so skills not selected to be majors play far less of a factor in your over all level.

Oblivion was never known for balance in leveling and scaling, This in't a bug so much as a carry over from the OG, Deal with it,

They actually changed the rate a number of skills level and how magic skills level.
(changed it from being based on number of spells cast to magic spent)

So this isn't a carry over.

Doesn't anyone just play the game? I'm so tired of these posts and you tubers talking about how much and how quickly they maxed out all of their skills using stupid cheese tactics or exploits. Holding down 1 key for an hour while you eat dinner and jerk off makes you a good gamer? And then you're so stupid that ya want to come to a forum and brag about it like it makes you some kind of hero.
