it is too easy to sell things by accident
I sold Fin Gleam and the Skeleton Key. I didn´t want to sell them.

It seems that during mass sales the items in the menu suddenly shift position and that way you sell items you don´t want to sell by accident. If you don´t check your inventory after a big selling you are focked.

Never had that problem in classic Oblivion, so the remaster does something different.

if you don't leave the trader menu you can buy them back almost all the time.

perhaps it's best to not spam click sell sell sell.
That's unfortunate. It usually auto saves upon entering an instance. Might be worth reloading.

Could sort by weight and that might help with lighter items like Skele key, but I couldn't find any mods that make a list of items safe from accidental sale.
Turning the items into quest items would be a good thing, then they would not show up on the trade screen.

they would also be stuck in your inventory, imagine the weight requirement for EVERY daedric artifact.

Bro just said "after a big selling". Now I 100% understand why he can't manage selling things without someone holding his hand.

This is like the guy who demanded McDonalds place "CAUTION HOT" on coffee. The world always has to find ways to protect the ignorant from themselves.

"Caution: Do not place plastic bag on head"

The lady that was scalded by the McDonald's coffee didn't get the "caution hot" placed on there because of her negligence, it was McDonald's negligence that lead to the change.

They didn't fasten the lid properly, and they as a company would routinely keep their coffee well above the temperatures necessary, and kept it that way despite recommendations to lower the temperature.

When they handed the driver the coffee, and she handed it to the woman in the passenger seat the loose lid fell off and dumped 180+ degree coffee directly onto the passenger's lap which instantly scalded her, and due to the pleather material of the seats it continued to pool and scald her. She ended up with 3rd degree burns.

So it wasn't as simple of a situation as "protecting the ignorant from themselves" as it was protecting the consumer from a criminally negligent company that was serving dangerously hot coffee even after multiple warnings to not store and serve their coffee at such a high temperature.
Just reload an earlier save, and take more care when you sell stuff..

Stop being logical.
Got to add that one to the lessons learned book. If you're not paying attention to what you're doing then it's no one's fault but your own.

Like others have said. There's ways to go back and load a earlier save or you could console command the items back in.

Really though, both of those items are trash anyway. The detect life and waterbreathing from the helmet are easily accomplished by other means. And the skeleton key is just a cheese item for people who don't know how to play the game.

Like my dad said when I was growing up "maybe the world would be better if we just took all the warning labels off everything and let nature heal itself".

The older I get the more I understand how he felt.
The fact you have to hit sell and then confirm for every item definitely sucks and makes it easy to accidentally sell stuff you want to keep.
Wish we could just select everything we want to sell at once and then sell it all together. And that the inventory sorted into more buckets.
