Best way to pick up units.
What is the fasted way to pick up your orcs? Clicking the icon up top only centers the map on the orc. Do I realy have to click the icon then pick up each orc individually? Looked for a hot key but didn't see one.

This too.

You can pick them up to see their stats.

So you have to pick each one up individually, there is no "select all" hotkey? Dang. Also, you cant make them target an enemy in your dungeon? Just have to drop and wait for them to attack..?

yer but thats a very slow and suboptimal way when you got 10+ creatures and trying to find out who is the next on the training wheel :P
and it takes away from the investment in the creatures when its hard to tell if they archieve anything

When you drop them by the adventurers, it seems like they take some time to recover from being dropped before they stand up and attack back. Is it better to drop them behind the adventurers, directly on top (and let them get hit a few times), or in front of their path? Seems like the ocs take a bit to realize there's enemies there and to go on the attack.

Personal preference. I usually drop melee fighters such as orcs somewhere around a corner in the heroes' path and ranged fighters in their backs. Directly on top only if I know it's a 100% clear victory outcome.

They also lose a tiny bit of health each time. ;)

How about the ability to build pillows at strategic locations to cushion their fall? :)

I've accidentally swatted orcs when I meant to pick them up.

I'm getting use to how the game works but it would still be nice to be able to pick up all of a certin type of units at once. The rally flag spell does make it easy to gather them all up from one location. However, when I use that spell, the entie army shows up in one big blob. It's too hard to pick and choose out of a huge throng of units.

That being said, I am having fun so far.

Aye, I'd have to say clicking the icons up top of the units pictures (and showing how many you have) should be a sort of shortcut to picking them up.

Yeah, like left click to focus on the unit and right click to pick it up.

Yes just like DK2. Showing those in combat, working and idle. clicking twice on the 2 idle orcs would pick them up so you can get them to join the fray. This way you can also withdraw say 4 orcs fighting by clicking the 4, 4 times to withdraw them all.
