Yes, family sharing should work. I see no reason why the launcher would interfere with that.
Personally I'm sorry but I still consider it DRM, just like uplay. I think it's a shame you guys don't trust potential customers. I also understand that it's probably not your own decision and that even if you agreed with me that the Kalypso launcher is bad and intrusive, it wouldn't change the fact your higher-up are probably the ones who want it to be in the game.
I am guessing the launcher is also the reason why Steam cloud is not included either (which imo is not cool either). If that's the case, that's even more reasons for me to not want to support this kind of launcher, since in that case it would mean it prevent basic Steam features to be added.
After Anna, it's a no go for me.
(which I found another craplypso.dll file for even though I bought the game)
You know what the next step is? removing it entirely.
