I have really bad stuttering
The game seems to stutter throughout playing it for me. I have a GTX 980 graphics card, 16 gigs of ram and an i7 2600k. Is there anything aI can do aside from fiddling with the in game options that might make this game run better? I'm loving it elsewise.

I have the same problem. Similar specs to yours but with 32gb ram and it stutters pretty bad sometimes. Especially the areas outside of the dungeon.

Changing the options doesn't seem to have any effect. I don't know if it's an FPS thing or not. I'll have to check with shadowplay after I get done downloading new drivers. I'll let you know if anything fixes it.

Okay. FPS is 30~ish which is terrible. But, changing options doesn't seem to have any effect. :( Also, driver update doesn't help either. :(

Similar issue on my end -- GTX 980, 32 gigs of RAM, i7-4910MQ, Win 7. Except for me, it's only on the overworld (the dungeon works just fine), and toning down some of the options did work in my case.

Let me double check to see which ones, specifically, I changed...

OK, here we go:
-> Fullscreen: Off
-> Vsync: Off
-> Antialiasing: Off
-> Texture Filtering: Anisotropic -- 8x

Are you guys on laptop systems? There may be a chance the system is using an onboard graphics chip instead of the 980. Or there may be a firewall interfering with the game.

Not a laptop. I don't think the firewall would have anything to do with skirmish running this way. :(
Laptop but double checked it is using the GTX 980

Aye it has some stuttering going on outside of the dungeon and whenever I pick up a monster it seems like the game has to 'think' for a fraction of a second. Gonna be tweaking the game a bit and see if anything changes.

So i followed IX--The hermits suggestion and turned all that off. It worked in the dungeon, but when I went outside, my second battle crashed the game.
