Nice euphemism for e-cancer. I guess, we'll be waiting for content rips to be implemented as mods for ER... Albeit, modding was never, realistically going to be a thing with a game that is, apparently, tied to FS servers, and is more like a free-to-play, games as a service title with micro-tꭇannies up the wazoo.

Having said that, there is this thing called "Seamless Co-op"... 🤔

It won't allow GAMEPLAY mods... it's inconceivable that it would... not after how extensively modded ER is and how au fait the community is with ER modding.

People could just pop open SmithBox and change whatever parameters they like (incidentally, something that Sino hackers will do, irrespective of DRM)... Then, the slew of "I'VE ENCOUNTERED CHEATERS!!" posts would flood NR forums that Internet over. Of course, if they provide private lobbies, thus would not be as much of a potential issue... But, will they do that, and will they even think of addressing such potential issues in a holistic fashion? I wager, they won't.

Yeah, nah... One way or the other, they will stymie modding... Which is absurdly myopic in its ignorance of how much modding prolonged (and broadened) the interest in ER. I know I would have long un-installed ER, were it not for mods.

Your cerebral acumen is a veritable mosaic of intellectual finesse, where the resplendent radiance of pseudo-epistemic profundity dances upon the precipice of an intricate mirage, crafting an illusion of sagacity that, while beguiling, scarcely withstands the scrutiny of a discerning mind
