ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

"Top Seller" and yet it's not even out
They need to filter out games that haven't been released from top seller lists.

Not that there's anything wrong with this game, it's just something they need to fix for all games.

If the game hasn't released... then nobody is actually buying it. This is preorder.

Simple.

You can't play it... so you're not buying a user license. You're buying the chance of getting one in the future.

uh no, that's not how it works

as soon as your payment goes through, you're given the license, it not being released has no bearing on that

Top sellers is not top playing or played..? It's what the word implies, what is selling the most.

Are you just trying to argue for the sake of arguing or something? I mean... that's exactly how it works, lol.

If they elect tomorrow to not release the game or move the release date, what do you have on their promised release date? Nothing.

It's not selling. It's preordering. I.E. this should be on a list of "popular preorders" not "top sellers". The whole preorder thing is out of control.

no, that's what you;re doing because it seems like the concept of preordering is lost on you

not gonna bother explaining basic concepts to you

Good, thank you.
Nightreign is N10 in top sales globally and N1 as preorder.

It is N9 in Italy and Russia. N12 in Germany and Canada. N14 Norway.
N15 in US. N16 in Australia. N18 in Turkey. N19 in France. N20 in UK. N21 in Poland and S. Korea. N 25 in Japan.
N 37 in China, that very surprisingly considering that very close to this is Naraka (N7 in China).

Looks like Italy and Russia pushing Nightreign forward. And probably some other countries that is not in official list. That means, that EU servers will have fast matchmaking for sure.

Top seller has nothing to do with what's the most played, it's what's the most paid for.

If the top seller is a pre order, then that's what's being bought.

Even if that were true (and it isn't) then it would still be the best seller. "The chance of getting the game in the future" ~ is being sold as a pre order.

And? That's still something that can be sold and is currently a best seller. You make no sense. It doesn't even matter if the license is being sold, or the chance of a license or the idea of a license or pick any other collection of words you prefer.

You're arguing semantics in a way that's fundamentally wrong. It doesn't matter what you think is being sold, it's still a sale.

The next time I go to a restaurant, I'll have to remember that I'm not actually purchasing my food, I'm in fact preordering it.

Did... that make sense to you?

I mean, when you typed it, not now obviously since.. it doesn't. but, when you thought about what to type there, that had to make sense somehow, right?

But... how?

Why do people pre order games? they aren't running out and you're encouraging scummy behaviour like locking content behind it.

Exactly.. it makes absolutely no sense.

But, FOMO is a real thing. They don't want to miss out on that single-player skin.

Games are ready 2 months or more before release date , they are just beeing tested a bit before release. Devs dont put up games for preorder that they are not sure if they are gonna release or not.

Preorder is available only when the project is 100% gonna be released and its in a finishing state already and everything is fine.

Sure they can extend the release date (that almost never happens) but its gonna be a week at most , you are not gonna wait another year.

Objectively false and proven by the fact that EA exists. In fact, very few games ever make it to "release". Look at 7 days to die. It took them 12 years to finish the game and get to release. So your point here is absolutely false.

"Preorder is available only when the project is 100% gonna be released"

Again, false. That's why EA exists and you can preorder EA games.

"that almost never happens"

Are you new to Steam?
