ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

From Software is just milking ER one last time before the end
Given how the Sony purchase will end with From Software being closed, rather than wasting money with a new project they would rather earn as much money as they can with minimal effort before the company closes.
Also, what's the point of starting a new project when you know you won't see it finished?

ER made fromsoft billions, it'd be stupid not to make a spin-off

I don't think so ,i think it's just low risk high reward project to test the waters in something different ,similar to Sekiro ,they are making 2,3 more games in same time with this one,and it's not like they gonna fck around ,also from the interview main guy who doing this was lead combat designer in Bloodborne and ds3 and elden ring and level design in ds1 so if anyone knows what his doing is that guy

It makes business sense to strike while the iron is still hot. Elden Ring and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC earned FromSofware oodles of cash, it makes sense to do spin offs in the universe until they finally decide to commit to Elden Ring 2 (which will need match the scope if not be bigger than first game).

I imagine Nightreign will be similar in scope if not a little bit larger than the DLC given how quickly this is coming out.

And you know what, I am fine with that.

You must have brainrot if you think Sony would purchase Kudawa and then close FromSoftware down.

He does not think they will shut them down more like they could force them to do only exclusives for PS which obvious they do not want to and could make main director and main developers to leave and open some private studio similar what happen with Kojima and Konami.Sony would still have Fromsoftware name and ip but what is name when Miyazaki is main thing in whole story, its one man army..He can just leave and walk into any studio in the world like Bandai,Capcom etc and would get AAA budget for a game instantly

No, I do believe that they will close the studio down. From Software is one of the most prominent competitors in the industry and Sony would rather have their own Guerrilla and Naughty Dog have less and less serious competitors.

So brainrot then...

No problem with that if I get a new great single-player game with the money they earn from this game.

I wouldnt mind if it turned into a fullblown spinoff. Given how ER is Fromsoft's most popular game at this point, it makes sense to keep using the name.

Name recognition is a powerful tool and Elden Ring is known far and wide but that alone won't make this good.. the "gameplay" trailer showed pretty much nothing so gotta wait and see if this really is mobile garbage or actually something worth playing.

Sad to see From Software do a sell out, asset rehash game. Looks so creatively bankrupt.

Going by Fromsoft's evident repeated HORRIBLE handle of any online/ co op aspect in their games. This is basically going to be Stuttering 76 to their Dark souls 4 . Yes you're absolutely correct.

ER was already a massive asset re hash. The copy paste enemies from demon souls, dark souls 1 and 3.
The blatant animation re use, enemy re use with a new coat of paint. I'm an empty world devoid of actual interactivity. At least I'm ds2 you could light scones to illuminate the world. I'm DS3 and ER your actual interaction with the open world is minimal besides hitting things and jumping . The only massive innovation the fans are also going to pretend that fromsoft invented... The jump button

Yup. People want to make money and the return on investment when using a library of old assets is going to be HUGE.

Kids hating on piracy AND corporate greed is so naively cute.
