I have read that it was confirmed that solo would be possible. But it did not elaborate on whether anything will scale based on player count.

It would be a bit brutal to not scale anything down considering that you are supposed to be racing against the clock, and considering how this game may take more liberties when it comes to using ideas that do not translate too well to solo.

I am talking about concepts where player synergy is forced instead of just being highly beneficial; outnumbering 3 players with tough individual threats, enemies with hard to reach weak spots, multi-person gimmicks that get you killed when someone else gets dps tunnel vision. That fun stuff.

I'm used to playing with randoms in souls, and I find it kinda fun. In boss fights. What concerns me is exploration, and it sounds like these cycles will be very long. They say three in game days. They might change the speed of night and day in this expandalone but hoo boy if they don't that's a long ass match.

Some outlets have already had access to a demo where they learned that the length of a day was near or exactly 15 minutes.

if no one has people to play with then why do they play online video games? esp coop games, shouldnt they just make friends with randos they play with? not that hard to meet randos in game and be friends with them,

its amazing making friends with strangers you just met in a game you played,
which i recommend any solo players to do so to give coop games a chance,

this is coming from a solo player myself but thats just because i like playing with randoms and making friends with them.

The same way you can edit it.

In the upper right corner is a drop down menu which lets you edit or delete the thread, or pick a post as answer. After a certain amount of replies you no longer might be able to delete it, if I'm not mistaken.

Seems like a co-op cash grab mandated by their publisher if its just the same game, but randomly generated building and enemy locations

If it is clearly stating exactly what it is, people can make their mind up on to play it or not. It's not a cash grab unless you buy it knowing what the goal of the game is and it turns out low quality in that regard. If you see what it is and don't want to play it, don't buy it.
