From what I could gather, there's a single player mode which downscales the difficulty somewhat.

It's strange to make coop games in this day and age when we have record numbers of lonely people who literally have no one else to play with.

I'm pretty sure there will be an option so players will be matched with whoever is online.

Just like it has worked in previous games.

If I can do damage and have a button to press to not take damage, this is a plus not a negative.

The reality is, despite the comments in this thread, no one actually knows how the game is going to play. There simply isn't enough information yet. I did notice that the store does not list singleplayer however.

It does have the Singleplayer tag. But then again, it also has the Hentai tag lmfao. Who knows what it is

user-defined tags do not count. Anyone can add those. I'm talking about the actual store page itself. It only says online co-op. That said, I'm pretty sure you will be able to play solo regardless.

Could've been a free update for Elden Ring though. Or a smaller paid DLC. I don't see why this needs to be a whole separate game.
