Adding actual Dungeon runs to DD2 .. heck, could even make Lairs have 'walkable' corridors.
DD2 *lacks* the replayability, currently, that the First enjoys ..even without mods, there's a lot more variety available, plus it just seems to be a more enjoyable game.
