It's better than nothing.

I know. I really should continue working ony my next two hero mods. One might almost feel right for what you're wanting. Almost :p. They're both a long way from being finished.
I posted a thread a week or two ago after I stumbled upon a set of fairly polished viking themed hero sprites not doing anything. Hopefully someone will jump on board eventually
Okay so ... that beard without a moustache looks wrong. Give him a moustache.
Secondly, the partially shaved hairstyle in the camping sprite is very anachronistic. I know a certain tv show made that look popular recently (so much so that some pretty piss poor films ripped it off in the hope of looking historically authentic).
Third - someone would need to contact the artist and get his permission (and check if he's planning on releasing them as a skin or class already).
Fourth, the walk, combat & idle poses would need to be chopped up into bits for animation. This would involve having to redraw any overlapping parts (such as the parts of the body behind the sword, for example).
After the animation work the rest is fairly simple. It irks me somewhat that his sword is a hybrid of a Celtic sword and the Roman Spatha (the longer version of the Gladius for cavalry use). I'd rather see a more traditional broad fullered blade with a tri-lobed pommel and curving quillons instead of this gladius style hilt and raises central ridge that he's got going on here.
It would make for a good mod. It just needs some communication and then for some work to be put in. I'd happily do the base skill work & stat layout. Camping skills are a little beyond me and, if he ended up using any custom effects then I might need help but I can lay the basic groundwork for such a class.
Top row: Walk/Idle (sword held low), Combat (sword raised), Low Blow (some kind of dirty fighting), Knockback (the kick).
Middle row: Defence (shield up), Berserk Fury/Advancing skill (leaping, might bypass guard (jumping over a shieldwall) or move him forwards if he's stuck at the back similar to Holy Lance), Jumping Hack (chopping downwards).
Bottom Row: Investigate, Camp.
So that's 5 combat skill sprites out of 7 combat skills. If he had a Guard skill he could use his Defence sprite for the Guard. The kick and the two jumping sprites feel too special to recycle on different skills so that pretty much leaves the Low Blow (which would then be on 3 skills).
Actually...... If he was a Stance based character (like the Abomination) we could get away with some sprites being available to both stances so that could actually work quite well. I was initially thinking the Bounty Hunter's stats & skill set might be a good basis for a Viking kind of character (especially given his spanghelm) but goign with the abomination stance thing for a Berserker/Berzerker class might be quite funky. Obviously the Leper would be a good point of reference as well (especially with his self sufficiency).
Hmm. The low blow could be a reach attack that can target as far away as rank 3 (because of the reach on it) whereas the two jumping attacks (especially the second one) might have more limited reach. His raised shield could be used for some kind of defensive buff instead of just for a Guard skill.
Actually we have Scorpiovaeden :p. Getting the artist's consent would be harder as it's hard to contact him (need to create an account on the website to contact the guy at all).
