Problem adding a skin (Solved)
Hi, I'm totally new on modding, so I wanted to make a skin for the plague doctor using as reference JEF's LW-Plague doctor skin (a.k.a. i moddified the psd to make one more variation).
I have the pngs exported with gimp with the masks trimmed and the alpha colors removed, but when I copy the skin directly on the DD plague doctor folder, it looks like this:

https://imgur.com/a/J3sVy9B

I don't know why it happens. Can someone please help me?

If it helps, I don't have spine, i didn't wrote any code and it's in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\heroes\plague_doctor

Okay, I figured this out and even tested it:

What the problem is:
This image uses that color and alpha channels that you can see in the tab next to the layers tab, and they might become more visible because of some ingame blend mode .. so the area that isn't on the white areas on the alpha channel needs to be colored black to not be seen..

I do not know why you got white squares, maybe you filled with white before removing the color, but when you removed them then it only affected the alpha channel and the color remained on the rgb channels

The fix: (backup first)
(EDIT: Just saw this option, when exporting, try unchecking "save color value from transparent pixels" .. if not then try the way I first did it)

- Color picker, click a transparent area
- go into the channel list .. click the Alpha channel to unselect it (NOT the eye icon)
- fill tool .. color black .. fill whole selection
- select Alpha channel again

And DONE .. *fingers crossed*

The big modding tutorial for DD had a modding tools section, among them were a tool to convert png to png super, that seem to take care of such leftovers..

There could also be a lighting layer, but from what I am aware it is only used when you get 100 stress.

I tried to install the plugin on my Photoshop CS6, but it doesn't open
Try some of the other two .. the alpha layer remover and the trimmer beside it.
I did, everything is still the same.

Aaaaaaaaaaaa, now i've seen the error!!!

It was a couple of layers that added some kind of light, but in the whole image, making those white thingies to show!

Also followed your instructions to make sure i don't miss anything, and it looks way better, I only made the combat sprite, and got to excited to see it working that I closed the game before taking a screenshot, asa I repair every pic I'll send capture to see the succes =)))

Edit: Here are the screenshots =)
