Screen Flashing. unable to play

Whenever i boot up Darkest Dungeon, my game will flicker as if im alt tabbing every half second, but no other programs are running. it seems as if all the interactions still work, but i cant even play the game like this. i've already updated my drivers and such along with re-installed the game and restarted my PC. not sure how common this issue is, but any help would be awesome

It seems I only have this issue when I have a video playing in the background via winows media player. Anything from the internet is fine.

Sorry about the late reply, but originally what i had to do, was take the game off of fullscreen, then i went and updated my drivers, and made sure my resolutions on both screens were correct, and that seemed to have fied the problem.
