Report a translation problem
This is a TERRIBLE idea. Knowing the map layout beforehand is the ONLY THING THAT CAN SAVE YOU SOMETIMES.
If you don't know the map beforehand, how are you supposed to plan out camps? How are you supposed to judge where the boss might be? What if I walk into a room with 0 torch just on a whim because I think I'll be safe, and then I end up fighting the boss and taking a huge pile of damage because I can't use torches until the RNG picks me for next turn!
Predictability of the boss position is also essential for some runs, especially if you're taking on the area on the left (the name escapes me atm) where traps can cause bleed tokens AND damage AND stress!

This has always been a pet peeve of mine when it comes to D&D like-ish RPG's. Your party is asked to go questing in an area totally new to them. Why make it obvious where to go by not including a fog of war?
Well, to be honest, it's because this place WAS known. It's not like this is some random assortment of Ovens you're exploring on the coast of some undiscovered land, this is the old, hollowed out place where you and your family ACTUALLY USED TO LIVE.
Sure there's been some changes and additions to the place, and of course that would add to the convolusion of paths and such, but at the same time you are being given these quests by someone who we assume used to know the mansion like the back of his hand. Only just recently has all the decay, traps and enemies come around. So perhaps it would make sense if you were storming the camps (ie, boss arena) of the enemies, but in an old, well known mansion it doesn't make much sense.
EVEN DIABLO1/2/3[FUXKING WORST 3] NOT GIVE WHERE THE DETAIL LOCATION :)
