The hag can be annoying due to the pot being 2 wide and her attacking twice if someone is in the pot but she has low life in comparison to the other bosses so burning her down is very possible.
I havent seen the hag getting 3 turns tho, only 2 so far. The most annoying thing about this boss fight is that the cauldron is at front imo, havent had that many issues with her tho.

design mistakes?
just cause you don't like mechanics doesn't make them design-"mistakes". bosses are ment to be gimmicky, the hag is perhaps the easiest boss currently, simple cause of her tiny healthpool.
but i do agree in one point...the pot shouldn't dodge..guess you can't "fail" an attack, but reading dodge while bashing a pot is kinda funny.
pick a group where all can attack the hag (keep position change in mind), get atleast 1 or 2 dots and the fight is over in no time...forgett about the pot...
The second time, I tried the following strategy: Build and upgrade (items and skills for) a team of Resolve level 2s led by a Hellion with her "Battle Trance" (+10 ACC; (Monster Size: 2) +20% damage) camping ability and three-slot Breakthru attack. Pile on some crit-enhancing items. Now you can have your cake[d-in-stew adventurer freed] and [make the Hag] eat it too.
As guides suggested, the team was built on favourable quirks (Weald Tactician, Slayer/Hatred of Mankind) and making sure everyone could hit the back line, including the healer. Excluding the Hellion, I let adventurers hover at Death's Door and focused on the Hag.
My team was: Vestal, Occultist, Bounty Hunter, Hellion.
Resolve level appears to increase their resistance levels to things that whittle them down (traps, bleeding, blight) over the course of a misson, helping to give that little bit of an edge.
No, there isn't a retreat button for this fight.
Ignore the pot and bring characters that can attack the 3-4 slot.
Seriously. Ignore the pot. The hag's attacks inflict minimal damage to your characters and only moderate stress. Presuming you camp the room before the hag and get your characters mostly healed and to low stress levels, this fight is a pushover. The pot is only there to bait you into freeing your trapped character, wasting your turns when you should just be focus firing the hag.
