Tippler and Resolution has the same person
One of my highwayman sufferd those perks, now one perk says he will ONLY drink the other one says he will NEVER drink - I guess this isn´t intended and should be excluding one and the other from itself. This might appear on all other chars.

I have multiple characters who have quirks that contradict each other. You have to pay gold and waste a mission or more in the sanitarium getting one of those cured so you can do stress relief in town. Its a feature

It is not about the getting rid of the quirk, its is about logic. You cant say I will drink only but also never. Thats not logical from my point of view.

You can get something similar with multiple of the 'will only x' traits - if they will only do two things, they will not be able to take any stress releif actions.

This case as well as the one you mentioned probably shouldn't happen. They aren't logical, and they are quite frustrating.

If you don't want them to be mutually exclusive, it would be acceptable for them to decrease the effectiveness of all other stress releif activities or something similar making two of them quite inconvenient but not quite as crippling.

Sometimes a hero is just so broken they don't know what to do with themselves! You can purge one of the quirks in the sanitarium...

In Darkest Dungeon, liquor drinks you!

Seriously though, in a Lovecraftion universe it does make a twisted bit of sense. In a world where people kill themselves over the fear of what some unspeakable horror might do to them, it does make sense that they could only find relief in drink while being too afraid to drink. Thus leaving them broken and useless(with maxed stress). Mechanically, I don't know if it is a good idea; is it possible to salvage the character?

1500 Gold and one week in the Sanitorium will make them useful again!

I think it's funny, really. Someone is going to have to take a little trip to the mad house.

If this is intended to be I am fine with, I only wanted to see if this might be a bug. Thank all for replying. This game is awesome cool!
I have a Crusader who would only pray for respite but now he saw some messed up crap in a coffessional and won't even do that. Sometimes it is cool and thematic and I really like the way it is implemented. Even though the devs never touted any of that "emergent story" BS (read: make up your own stories we AIN'T GOT TIME TO WRITE), the game still seems to make little stories for my dudes wandering these horrid dungeons and I enjoy it thoroughly

My crusader had to spend 3 weeks in the sanitarium. He would only relieve from the brothel. While also only being able to relieve thru prayer. While also being unable to pray or flagellete.

lol. That guy was crazy as HECK!
