Cracking the Armor
I've been playing a lot of Cove recently and I feel like the Uca encounters are a bit tiresome. I mean, the high PROT makes sense because of the armor, but after a while, that armor would crack. I propose this: Raise the overall power of the Uca line and add a new feature to the fight.

A certain set of attacks (I'm thinking Chop, Uppercut, Bola, Crush, and other blunt force strikes) have a chance on Crit to crack an Uca's armor, lowering their PROT, Blight, Bleed, and Debuff resist. When the armor breaks, it would display a "DEBUFF" message that when you hover over it, it reads "Cracked,"similar to the "Immobilized" message in the cove crew line.

To make the fight not be a joke, I think the max health should be increased and armor crack chance should scale with difficulty. I personally believe this would make these encounters far more interesting and as a result, fun.

The problem is not that they are difficult- They are, but that's the point of a giant crab beast that wants to kill you.
The battles are just annoying and tedious. They are difficult, but the difficulty doesn't create an enjoyable challenge.

That's not what I want to do. I think that a mechanic by which an enemies' PROT can be reduced through brute strength would add to the already plentiful combat options.

Agreed. Multiple options to solve a single problem would be nice. There are too many problems in this game that only have one solution and that quickly gets stale (looking at you too curios).
