It seems Devs don’t speak Italian, and they cannot make sure the localization is done well.

I found this[www.forums.darkestdungeon.com] thread. Perhaps you can be of some help there.

i play everything in english right away. i just wanted to give a try to this game i bought a long time ago without ever trying it, so i didn't actually mind about the translation until horrible mistakes piled up one after the other, plus finding some lines being replaced by some error message inside the game. One horrible mistake on a subtitle translated "you are doing just work" with "you are doing only work". Basically the translator translated the "just" adjective as an adverb. The translation here you can imagine is completely nonsensical. Game is full of these horrible mistakes, and being this a game in which the atmosphere is pivotal, i thought that someone should point this out to the developers. They should know that the italian translation is undermining their work. Italian kids not speaking english will end up playing a nonsensical game...

Fair enough.
They already know, though. They used some cheap and janky method to make most of the translations, if not all of them. Like, they ran it through google translate and then had it edited, something like that. It's an indie studio after all.
