So I avoid the Warrens at all costs...
...because no amount of reward is worth the mangled adventurers that come out of there. My last trip earned twelve, TWELVE, new negative quirks for the four sods that went in, all delivered by the Swinebominations that puke on you. It would take an unholy amount of time and money to fix those heroes, and I'm seriously considering just tossing the whole bunch.

Anybody found any way to make the Warrens less painful? Or should I just take in throwaway parties until it's time to kill the Swinelord?

I always focus the little puking pig first in any battle > then the drummer> then whatever else remains

Well, personally I like rabies. But other than that, kill the vomitbags first and don't stack so many trinkets that reduce your disease resistance. It might also help to pack a plague doctor, since her Leeches camping skill has a chance to remove diseases. Honestly though, unless it's a stat that's critical for a character (like accuracy for a Leper) I can live with some of the minor diseases, like The Yips.

yeah those Vomiting pigs are a pain in the ass, such a high speed and dodge and considerably good HP.....when I encounter a party of 3 of those is like a "F you" from the game.....seriosuly they should atleast nerf their HP to a maggot-like...

Edit: best way *was* bringing a plague doctor with Blinding gas, hopefully those vomiting guys always appeared in a party of 4 foes so you just needed to spam blinding gas on them to perma stun them (new patch nerfed stuns, after each successful stun the enemy becomes more and more stun resistant)

I always go in there with one party member that can those nasties forward and at least one member that hit the back row.

I personally love the warrens from a design perspective, the mobs are fittingly creepy and the environment and music is spot on. I'm hoping the last two dungeons are as well put together. It's also the only place I've found piles of scrolls which can be burned with a torch to get rid of a negative quirk. If you're having problems with picking up diseases I believe there are several charms that give +% disease resist.

I agree. To me it seems one of the more difficult dungeons. That is, at level 1.
At level 3 I don't find the more powerful mobs in the Warren that much of a problem, the Bone commander however ...

Spam the warrens quests and every other dungeon after feels much easier.

Trust me, I don't bring ANY trinkets anywhere that lower my disease resist. Not after three of the four members of my party all got Syphilis from the little bastards. I appreciate the heads up on the PLague Doc though, didn't realize she could cure that stuff.

Also, the barrels of alcohol grant a 30% damage buff if you use herbs on them, which is massive. Finding 3 in a row is godly (it's happened)

That's amazing. I love the different things that happen when you use items on objects. I'm still learning them all.

I pretty much ignore certain items. Like the bookshelf and stack of books. Too often giving me a negative quirk :(

Does kinda take away the aspect where you're not sure what's going to happen.

Oh and good point regarding the plague doctor. Might mean I'll bother to bring him along again... to the Warrens :P

Is it by design that wilbur is able to stunlock my party and kill them with that?

The latest patch (according to the notes) was supposed to add a stun resist buff after being stunned, for both heroes and enemies. But it seems that by mistake it was only added to enemies (or only displays for enemies)

I think the Warrens definitely take a different approach from the other two, which is pretty neat. Can't wait to see what kind of approach the cove will require. Anyway, I find that having the plague doc along for the warrens is moneeeyyy. Stun bomb the pukers and drummers, blight the big guys at the front, and cure the bleeds/blights they inflict with the potential for curing even the diseases with her camping skills. Mwaaaaahhh.

Veteran or champion?
I only fought the veteran version of the boss and yes, while he can stun all of them resistances eventually have to kick in your favour and he really cannot take that much punishment. So, I guess it was just bad luck with the dice.
