How are you supposed to deal with traps?
So I have started playing the game and the whole traps mechanic has me confused. Unless you happen to get lucky and scout a hallway you are guranteed to trigger a trap and take damage. Is their something I am missing here? Is there a way to deal with traps without having to hope you scout?

Bookshelves have maps and trinkets and camping abilities as well as quirks give you + scouting. As you get better you'll be able to spot and avoid them more effectively.

Nah, you can always dodge them. I've had traps trigger only for my guys to dodge it.

If you look at your character's resist %s, you'll see a trap resists near the bottom If you do find a trap via scouting, use the one with the highest percentage to disable, if they fail atleast they'll resist.

On this note, you might also want to try your champions with the lowest stress levels. It *appears* to have some effect on the RNG for Trap disabling but I can't confirm that for certain.

There are 3 ways:
- Scouting reveals traps so you can disarm them more easily.
- You can just dodge them on luck.
- You can find maps in books or tents, but i would never touch a bookshelf, the risk of a negative quirk is too big in my opinion and i almost scout every in every room.

The best option I can think of for you at the moment till you get the trinkets is to use one of the characters scouting buff from camping. I personally don't like traps how they currently area, but thats only when you have to run through areas you've already scouted to have to run into a trap the maps says is there but won't allow you to disarm.

If you're only this far in and traps are the complaint then you've only more suffering ahead.

I mean that in the nicest way possible, because traps are an absolute kick-in-the-pants to deal with in later scouting missions.

Sadly beyond max lighting and hoping for scouting, its gonna be lucked based, if you can bring some characters that have +scouting for those areas, it could help, but thats RNG too as whether or not they get it. Just try to do those medium/long missions if ya can.
