Oh I know that you can remove quirks, my point is just that the combination makes no sense in the game. Having a character fixated to the point of excluding everything else on TWO things, just makes no sense at all.
The 2 quirks should be mutually exclusive. Just like you wouldnt allow a character to have a "Strong" positive quirk that boosts damage, then a "Weak" negative quirk that reduces damage. It would make no sense for a character to have both.
Thick Blooded + Thin Blooded disagrees with that assumption ;)
Thats not the issue. My issue is with consistency. In a game that focuses so heavily on the quirk system, having quirks that dont make sense or are inconsistent is not a great thing to have. Heres an example
A character that is both strong but inexperienced...is consistent, that idea makes sense.
A character that is both strong but unfit..is consistent and makes sense.
A character that is both strong but WEAK, is not consistent, that combination doesnt make sense by the definition of those words.
Its the same with having both God Fearing and Love interest. Having a singular fixation occur twice doesnt make sense for a character to have at all because neither fixation can logically be achieved. One woudl override the other, both cant be equal.
Ideally, all you need to do is change how those quirks are worded possibly or make one override the other, but right now that combination existing doesnt make sense.
No, its just another example of what I think shouldnt exist in the game :)
Oh I know, I just would like a little bit of tweaking to it thats all. It just makes the combinations of quirks more believable, makes the characters more relatable and just makes the game better thats all. And I think a small change like it would make the game easier or change gameplay much, it would just make you characters more believable, and then you get attached to them more and it makes it more fun.
I think the fact these heroes can develop traits that make it impossible for them to relax until they're "treated" is hilarious. I just toss 'em in the asylum and hook the alligator clips up. No more Tippler vs Resolute for you! Witness stopping you from praying? Don't worry. This'll help you forget all about what you saw, li'l buddy. :)
That guy was chucked to the curb.
