Recording on FRAPS gives Black Screen with just Audio

I mean, I know this must be some Early Access issue, but whenever I try to record the thing on FRAPS, the video just shows up as black screen with sound.

All my other games record fine.

Sorry if this isn't the right place, I just wanted to record some runs. XD

Don't know about FRAPS, but OBS records it just fine.

Interesting, so is it just a FRAPS thing.

I tried with OBS when i yous game capture i get a black screen but i can see the in game mouse.
Then i use window capture i can see the game menu and my mouse moving around.

And with fraps it's all black.

I'm running windows 8 and i have a nvidia graphics cards

I am. All I'm getting is a black screen with the audio of the game but none of my commentary.

That particular fix didn't work for me. I was able to get Fraps to work. Under the "General" tab make sure the box next to "Monitor Aero desktop (DWM)" is checked.

I haven't been able to get OBS to work though. Any suggestions? I want to do Darkest Dungeon for my charity stream at the end of the month, but won't be able to if I can't get it to work with OBS.

i found the solution! its because i have windows 10 and FRAPS are not yet working well for windows 10. just open the videos with the windows 10 media player and for me it works

Thank you it worked for me too but how can i save it this way? that i can edit it now? because i still can't do anything except for watching it

if you open the video in media player you can see it

Opening the video in media player doesn't those of us trying to edit the video. For those of us with YouTube channels and the like, we can't do anything with that.

Guys I found the solucion, if you see everything black by reviewing the video then I found what you have to do, as you can see when you open it as the media player you will be able to see but not to edit or uplaod, just go to a media player converter, because the file doesnt save as media player, so when you open it as media player it will work so just converet it to a media player file in the website here is one, www.convertio.co, hope u guys fix it :) if questions add me on steam
