How do you know the attacking order for each character?
How are you supposed to know if your crusader attacks next, or the enemy, or another character?

I'm very confused about how the attack orders work.

The attacking order is kind of random. Devs won't make turn indicators, because they want iirc keep that level of surprise.
Personally I think the turn order is decided with a 1d20 + Spd

There is no order specifically.

You'll note that when each round starts, each character/monster has a white 'hash' next to them. That indicates that monster/character has not gone this round.

What happens each round is that each monster/character rolls a die. Then they add their Speed stat. The highest totals go first.

Thus while high Speed stat will 'tend' to make you go earlier, its not guaranteed depending on the die rolls

You should watch the hashes on enemies to decide who might be mroe optimal to attack. Maybe you want to kill off a low hp monster, but ooh that other monster still has to go this turn and you 'might' kill him. So do you go for the safe kill or reduce your incoming damage potentially by killing a moster that hasn't gone yet. Even without explicit turn indicators, you can still make meaningful tactical choices.

This helps a lot. Thank you for such a great explanation :)

Why do you think it is 1d20 and not something like 1d10?

I would love a chart that shows each characters/ennemy turns (like FF10) just like a FIFO stack
so we can predict and make tactical decision. [eg: if a character get stun, then his portrait go in the botom of the stack, and the next character come on top].

Randomness of order => ok, fine.
Display the result of RNG => Yes pls.

I think this as well, because an Arbalest with +9 speed buff can still end up going last.

With 1d10 it would be less likely for a +9 to go last. The 1d20 looked like a good guess for me, because you can still go later with good speed buff (so anything smaller gets less likely), but the buff still got a decent effect, so it is unlikely to be something like 1d100.
But I'm not even sure if the devs are using a system like that.

I felt like it starts with smaller 1dX and grows as turns count does. First turn distribution is close to base while 4+ is quite a mess.
