I wonder how dog treats can be use for ?

Massive attack buff for 3 rounds. +100% damage, +20 accuracy, +5 crit if I remember correctly. Using it doesn't take your turn, so wait until a tough fight, pop it, and go to town (the hit-everything Hound's Harry attack gets a bit terrifying with the doggie treat buff.)

Scooby Snack essentially turns your dog into a mutant Scrappy Doo. That is, huge damage and accuracy buff for three rounds.

Am I the only person that can't actually use the Dog Treat? It's always grayed out for me. In combat, on the houndmaster's turn. I can't do anything with it.

I can 't use either... At start I used it and it worked once. Then I discarded item 2 or 3 times and now it s always unusable like you.

fun fact : I've tryed a comp with 4 Houndmasters. I got 4 Hushpuppy. Easy Run

There must be some kind of bug. I tossed my first one because I just never needed it and wanted to make room for some gold. Maybe throwing it away is causing some kind of glitch? I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having this problem.
