How to play Darkest Dungeon on Ubuntu 14.04 (& other Linux)

I successfully manage to play the game on my Ubuntu 14.04 laptop and it can probably work on other distro as well.

Here's what I did :

Install PlayonLinux (https://www.playonlinux.com/en/download.html)
Start PlayonLinux and made sure it ran correctly

Click on "Install" (the plus sign)
Searched and selected "Steam"
Followed the instructions
Ran steam and make sure it worked
Exit steam completely (right click tray icon => exit)

In the PlayOnLinux main window select "Steam"
Hit "Configure" on top in the menu buttons
Goto "Install components" tabs
Install vcrun2013
Follow the instructions
Close the property window

Start Steam
Download "Darkest Dungeon"
Right click on the game and hit "properties"
Disabled the Steam over lay
Launch

It works for a while. Very often it crashes. Then it broke down completely - there is no way to continue game (crashes every time). Ubuntu 14.04

Thanks for the guide. Although Linux support has been stated to come in the future I'm glad that people already worked out a way to play without Window$.

Works on gentoo, I just used winetricks:

$ WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.wine32 WINEARCH=wine32 winetricks

and then install vcrun2013. Then I launched the installer with:

$ WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.wine32 WINEARCH=wine32 wine setup_darkest_dungeon_2.0.0.2.exe

I played trough the tutorial mission and it seems to work fine, although my movies don't have sound. It doesn't work on the 64 bit version of wine so beware of that. You also don't really need playOnLinux.
I still would prefer a native version though. Using wine is kind off annoying since you're dependend on that microsoft bloatware (dll files).

Darkest Dungeon just appeared on my list of games for Linux. I can "Install" it. But its missing all files.
