Agreed.
Then probably this game isn't suited for you. Stop asking for changes just because you don't like some game mechanics. It's like saying "I really like X-Com and turn-based battles, but please remove the entire Headquarters management, it's boring."
That's how the game is supposed to be. Devs shouldn't make a game for "everybody", they should make the game they want to, with the rules they want to. They have already changed the corpses and heart-attacks mechanics because it seems that some players don't know how to use tactics and positioning and aren't able to count to 200. Better to rage on the forums then learn how to play properly, I guess.
I've played this game abit over 500 hours, never had any problems, i never buy torches and i just steamroll this game.
i've made over 20 new save files so far, and each is as easy as it gets, i have corpses on and heartattacks on.
I never get 200 stress, and i've never really "lost" so to speak.
Town management gets really simple once you get used to it, just throw all your stress eaters in the cathedral, takes 5 seconds, boom your done.
I have about as many hours as you. The only tedious part about back to town for me is the trinket management. It can take a lot of clicks to get that sorted every time. But, until they redo the trinkets, I simply sell them all for cash these days.
I know what micro is, I can beat civ v on deity.
Each to their own.... Personally I don't think there is anywhere near enough micro management. Not by a long shot.
What i don't want is to play HR director and endlessly shuffle people around going broke trying to fix them. I want to fight monsters and explore dungeons.
The town portion isn't hard, it doesn't require skill. It's just tedious.
Some people like that, granted. But this being EA i just thought i'd give my two cents as to why i stopped playing their game.
So oversimplified.
And thanks for making everyone who struggles feel like there is something wrong with them.
So sick of this community.
No, it doesn't sound like you were. Just voicing an opinion. Right away you get attacked is the sad thing, as if there is only a small clique allowed to voice their (positive) opinions, and if you speak in any way, shape or form that puts the current game in a questionable light, you get stomped by someone with a superiority complex.
Good luck with that...
