any tips to defeat the brigand 16 pounder?
he just wreked my ♥♥♥, i beated 2 of his last stages fine and almost dead, but this time ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan.

i managed to take out haf his health, but one of my characthers died, the others managed to retreat, and are fine, as they barely got stressed out, but damn.

the problem is , that the damn canon keeps spawning rifle man...they are to fast, and they always shot first, they slowly take out my entire party health, my hellion had 75% chance to hit him, but missed 5-6 times.

its just an unending barrage of bandits!

i usualy use the arbalest to kill the matcher...but i can never guarante a kill with her...so yeah.

any tips?

i will miss my hero...

good bye arlana, you will be missed ;_;

.....and soon enough avenged >:D

If the gunmen are a problem remember they can't do much in rank 1 and 2. An Occultist has pull, damage debuff and heal. A highwayman with the pull skill is also good as they have fairly good ability to hit most ranks for decent damage as well.

A Man-At-Arms is really useful in the cannon fight because you can set a riposte which will automatically make him hit the bandits whenever he's shanked or blanket fired eventually killing them while also being able to focus on the cannon in future turns. He can also buff the whole party's dodge while camping allowing them to avoid some blanket fires entirely.

A Leper can also be useful if you want to hew down the front bandit while also wearing down the cannon.

I wouldn't use both together though, because ideally you want at least two party members who can do a lot of damage to both the 3rd and 4th spot in the enemy lineup (Hellion, Grave Robber, Highwayman, Houndmaster). You also want a Vestal as your healer with the Judgement skill as a last resort to make sure the matchman dies every round.

Any encounter with the Pounder ended the same for me. Ignored bandits (except torch-chap, of course), let my Vestel top up any considerable injuries or pump out AoE heals to counter AoE damage - wreck cannon to death. There's really no point AoE'ing cannon+bandits as there's just as much chance of an even worse Bandit type spawning in its place. Above mentioned MAA Riposte is a decent 'passive answer' to stray damage, as are various camping buffs. Of all the boss fights in the game, I'd regard Pounder to be one of the easiest, albeit slowest.

4x GRs with Lunge did the trick well.

I advise a hellion in the first rank, she'll do wonders killing the matchman :)
