Each enemy has a "type", like human, undead, etc. Some are eldritch, like the slimes in the Weald.
where do i read what they are?

When you mouse-over an enemy (like when highlighting which one you want to attack with an ability), you can see their base-stats and description on the lower-right of the UI. This helps you figure out the min/max damage potential of abilities vs X, or to see whether it is even worth, say, trying to bleed or stun an opponent (as you'll be able to see how much resistance they have to attacks), as well as how much prot they have.

As I said, you can check all enemy details in the description panel I just mentioned -- including what type they are.

Not a problem, that will be much easier instead of looking at a wiki page everytime ;)
