what is the green button..?

hi! i just started to play the game and im wondering what that green button that makes a sound and switches the surrounding blood splatter when you click it..

when im in town, click "embark" and then there is the button.

what does it do?

That's one of your available quests. As you progress you'll see more of these.

That's the dungeon select screen - select dungeon ( it's probably that green button you are writing about ) Next select 4 heroes. Then buy provision and you are ready to go :)

oh yea after completing the first mission there are 4 buttons... but still the blut splatter changes when i click one the same more times in a row... but i guess that means nothing huh? :D

It's just an image that gets randomly rotated upon clicking. Thankfully there's no secret behind it, but it sure is mesmerising to watch!
