Hunger after eating?!
Hi,

I was in a dungeon, went there with 8 foods and picked up some along the way. When some people were loosing life i gave them one or 2 food and made sure everyone ate along the way.

Just before entering the last dungeon room, it says they're hungry even though they just ate on the previous room. Does the game even takes into account that we give them food, or it only consider they have eaten when the game itself decides it's time to eat?!

It's really stupid seriously, dude just ate, after room game decides it's time to eat, since i fed them before that last room i don't have food anymore so they all loose life, one goes at death door, one dies of a heart attack. nice way to ♥♥♥♥ up a dungeon because of bad game design.

They're risking their lives for your stupid quest and you're complaining about how they get hungry so quick?C'mon...show some respect for dem adventurers. No but seriously you should keep the food for when they get hungry not heal them with it,unless they're at death's door or something.

The hunger event works like an invisible trap. The heroes do not have individual hunger gauges that would take into consideration when they last ate. It's a bit wonky but once you know it, you know to leave 4 (or 8 or 12 etc) food in reserve until the very end.

Long ago someone from developer's team said, that they will work on the hunger . Still, no information about it though.

So if it works like an invisible, can they go hungry 2 in quick succession, like maybe one or two room after being fed through the hunger event? Or it always happens around the same number or turn or round?

What did they expect when coming in, some Disneyland theme park? Of course i'm angry that they are hungry!

You can more easily get caught into the event, if you march in an already discovered corridors. It will happen less often if you go into new halls.

EDIT: There is a possibility, that as they got hunger in first corridor, they might be hungry again in another corridor. Camping also does not prevent this event (what a rhyme).

I am not 100% sure but a disease ''tapeworm'' might also increase the chance of this event. Some quirks related to food might also do the trick, but as I said I am not sure about it.

Lesson learned, don't eat all your food when you still have dungeon left to explore.

This. The biggest offender when it comes to hunger are dungeons that require you to backtrack in order to fully explore (eg. 90% of rooms). Walking back through already explored corridoors is more likely to cause a hunger dialogue than unexplored coridoors are. I do not use food to heal unless a fight ends with a character on deaths door and/or severely DoT'd on very low health (with no bandages/anti-venom). In small dungeons I take 8 food (2 hunger events). Occasionally a third 'might' happen but by then I've usually done 90% of the dungeon and can take that risk. For medium I take 20 as they are more likely to involve backtracking. 20 food = 1 x camp (8) and 3 x event (12). You usually get to loot more in this situation anyway. I don't do too many large dungeons.

I do agree there's an issue here, it should be a digestion countdown, not a special event (unless triggered by ... hm... evil appetizer? peanuts of doom?)

The thing is though that having 1 person eat 1 food to delay the hunger event for the entire party would be easily exploitable if the 'digestion counter' was too long. And if it's short then it might as well not even be in the game anyways.

One more thing ReivaX

The hunger event is not an issue, when you know how to deal with it. Apart from taking decent amount of food, remember to take some medical herbs with you, if you venture into Weald, Warrens or Cove. In these dungeons, there are curios, that if cleansed with medical herbs, will give you free food.

Warrens - Feast Table, Carrige with bodies
Weald - Carcass
Cove - Dead fish

Warren's curios are generous with meals, while Coves's dead fish in not alwaya a guarantee - it can also give you gems, money etc. With my advice, running even long missions is not an problem, besides any additional food can be used also as a healing item after the battle.

So far most of the problem with starvation I had only in ruins, since there are no curios, that offer food for proper cleansing.
