The Eldritch Altar is not new, and can be found in just about any Dungeon. Also, if you hated the Shambler, avoid running in 0 light.

Well true, but its not Cove only. Any map can have the Shambler Altar. Sometimes ull even be joyfull that you find one, Ancestral Itens , particularly the debuff and bleed resist(Hanckerchief and Scroll) are like the bomb in this new map.

rofl ok, thought id post it because i havent run into it anywhere but cove (seen three, only used it the once). Is it JUST the fight, or is it another good/bad RNG?

The Shambler is a tough guy, more like a boss, but you generally have to seek out its company. Defeating it gives ancestral trinkets. I beleive there are three levels of shambler - one for each dungeon class (green, yellow, red).

It's not a Cove thing - they turn up all over the place, but they aren't very common.

You only fight the shambler if you want to fight the shambler - unless you're running around in the dark.

It DID say you'd be doomed if you sacrificed, though.

Oh well, ill try it again when my people are a all higher lvl/upgrades. Like i said i have seena couple in cove but nowhere yet (even now). SO i assumed it was only in the Cove sicne it was a new dungeon i posted.

Ah I remember when I first encountered a shambler alter and was like "needs fire? Alright, use a torche I guess."
