[New Player] Vanilla or with all DLCs?
Just started playing. I have all the DLCs but I'm not sure if is better to play the way I'm playing right now with no dlcs active to learn the game or if is pretty much the same learn with all the DLCs

The game is simple turn based rpg so there's not that much to learn tbh.

I'd recommend playing without the DLC first. Crimson Court is neat but it makes the game more complicated and it's mostly a self-contained zone.

I would recommend playing the base game first until you conquer the Darkest Dungeon. You can use the DLC class mods too, if you please. No harm in having variety at your disposal, and once you start playing with more classes the odds are that you will always want more and never less.

After you finish your first DD run then I'd recommend adding in CoM and CC. CC can change a lot of your dungeon-delving encounters and can be a nuisance for planning your party compositions. CoM is mostly inoffensive - the worst thing it introduces is a roaming boss encounter that will brutalize any unprepared party, but it otherwise offers a collection of interesting trinkets to acquire.

Darkest Dungeon is a game of knowledge with an inverted difficulty curve. I would recommend playing a standard playthrough, learning the game, seeing how you feel -- and if you still enjoy it, splash out on the entire DLC collection and treat is as additional challenges + replay value.

If the entire bundle is going cheap, you can install and activate or deactivate individual elements of the DLC, in which case, I'd activate the new heroes (Flagellant, Shield Breaker, Musketeer), and everything else except the Crimson Court DLC, which is essentially an expansion pack with intentionally overbearing/ramping mechanics, giving more reason for blind / early-game players to get absolutely hammered.

Whatever you decide, just remember that the entire point is to persevere and push on. Outside of Stygian/Bloodmoon mode, there is no Game Over. You can lose an infinite amount of heroes and time, but you'll always be able to raise yourself up again. Don't take mishaps too seriously -- you're going to lose people while learning, and it's going to suck, but eventually, you'll realize how easy the game truly is (and wish you could go back to being blind again).

Base game only a few times. Is pretty decent. Don't even need shieldbreaker. Can enable Color of Madness+Shieldbreaker later, and then Color of Madness+Crimson Court+Shieldbreaker.

Recommend not using the free new class DLC.

Disable Crimson Court the rest is pretty easy to figure out.

+1 Disable Crimson Court. Otherwise it will be a very harsh experience. When i started, i enabled all DLC's and died, because of Crimson Court..

Vanilla. Every DLC comes with baggage, so you should experience the game as intended. Even though I own the DLC, I prefer the game vanilla.
