You are still hitting the pot at lvl 5?
Was "accept the pot situation" not the main lesson the first time you fought with her?
That sounds like an interesting line up^ I'd like to try that but I have no jesters and only one GR.
25 just isn't enough beds.
BH without his uppercut and/or flashbang is just doing it wrong. There's way too many ways to screw with the enemy lines to not use them.
Which, if you are like me and likes to have fun with a wiki, just do before doing a boss. This way you dont lose your precious hours that you put into the heroes, and/or play with the difficulty options (theres a achievement for a complete Vanilla run... good luck with that).
Is something that most, if not all, rpgs suffers when they introduce bosses that have no apparent distinguishable feature compare to the dungeon you were completing.
Spoiler for the Darkest Dungeon RUNS:
Even before you entertain that thought and you dont want to lose heroes... I would wiki that Darkest Dungeon first. Its downright ridiculous, absurd and most insane requirements to complete this madman of a place.
And about the pot... get heroes that hit rank3 rank4 position for major damage/Bleed and ignore the doomed hero, just heal him some when he gets out, aoe heal (get trinkets with +heal skills) to ignore Meat Tenderizer (aoe attack).
At least if you were defeated, I'd reckon you'd have that chalked up to your weird line-up instead of the game.
OP goes in with a very specialized party (I assume it's a 'pull, stun & kill' strat there) and then complains the boss is not just a regular enemy with beefed up HP. Now the Hag is a ♥♥♥♥♥, but come on... Half the bosses in the game would've dealt easily with such a bad party composition.
Here is my "pro" tip:
Two Crusaders are really good for this fight because you can bash the pot easily and Kill the Hag quickly!
here is the trick: For your 4th position, take some ranged that can poison the hag, 3th position, Crusader, 2nd position Crusader, 1st position Highway man, and this is important: The Highwayman MUST HAVE point blank shot and the attack that lunges him forward 1.
Now the strategy: When you start the fight and it's your turn, use poison if your 4th hero is not in the pot, if your highwayman is still position 1 and someone is in the pot, use your AoE attack to damage pot and hag, when your Crusader in position 2 is on turn, attack pot, if Crusader position 3 is on turn before the position 2, then it's Jackpot! You must have the Lance attack on both Crusaders, what that means is, you can attack the Hag with the Lance, deal between 15-30 damage and after that, your other Crusader changes position to 3 and can do the same. If for whatever reason, a Crusader switches to place 1, you have the Highway mans Lunge attack, which can bring the Crusader back to 2 or 3.
Yeah, DotS are fantastic vs enemies that take several turns each round, a critical hit on a DoT will make short work of them.
Generally that is true, but some bosses move twice per turn so she takes DoT damage twice as fast. Stacking DoTs on her melts her down real quick. A team of Hellion, Jester, Plague and Grave/Bounty can put her down real fast.
Same for the Flesh and the Siren, they're weak to DoTs too.
